The title for the new X-Files film has been released today. Entitled The X-Files: I Want To Believe will be released July 25, 2008. Fans of the show will recognize the title "I Want to Believe" from a poster Mulder had in his office at the FBI headquarters. Unlike the first film, the plot will not focus on the series' ongoing "alien mythology" and will instead be a standalone "thriller/horror story", similar to many of the "monster-of-the-week" episodes that were frequently seen in the TV series. I personally can't wait. I'm a huge X-Files fan.
